Are Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic practitioners traditional and/or functional medicine aligned?
Kalon West providers blend traditional and functional medicine to provide holistic care. Our board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) is credentialed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) to diagnose and treat everyday medical conditions with expertise. She also champions bioidentical hormones, repurposed pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, peptides, and lifestyle wellness modalities to restore balance and lasting wellness.
What types of clients does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic serve?
Kalon West provides medical consults & services to adults, ages 18 years old and upwards.
Does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic provide primary care, direct primary care and/or concierge primary care services or programs?
No, at this time Kalon West is not offering primary care medicine. However, we have built relationships with local, community primary care providers whom we can recommend.
Does Kalon West treat Breast Cancer patients and/or Breast Cancer survivors with Bioidentical Hormone Therapy?
Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Kalon West does not presently treat those newly diagnosed with, currently undergoing therapies for or survivors of Breast Cancer. We also do not apply bioidentical hormonal therapy to persons currently undergoing treatment for hormonally active conditions such as: meningiomas, breast cancer and endometrial cancer. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic accept insurance?
Kalon West is a fee-for-service practice and does not accept nor bill insurance companies. We can provide clients with receipts of service and/or superbills however, upon request. Please note: Kalon West providers are opted out of Medicare/Medicaid.

Does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic offer in-person and/or telehealth services?
Most Kalon West consultations will be conducted via telehealth using our own Kalon West Patient Portal (hosted by CERBO).
I live outside of Oklahoma – can I see a Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic provider?
You do not need to be an Oklahoma resident to work with a Kalon West practitioner. However, in compliance with federal and state telehealth laws, Kalon West clients must be physically present in the state of Oklahoma at the time of each of their visits(s)/consultation(s).
How do I access my Kalon West Patient Portal?
Upon registering with the Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic, clients will be sent an initial email with instructions on how to set up their own client portal. All subsequent client logins to access Kalon West forms, invoices, office visit notes, lab results etc. can then be found here: https://kalon.md-hq.com/.
How do I communicate with my Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic provider?
You may call the office to leave a message with our receptionist and office staff. If your Kalon West patient portal is set for permissions to do so, you may also send a direct message to your Kalon West provider using the Kalon West client portal. Please note, any life-threatening emergencies should be directed to an Urgent Care, Emergency Room or by dialing 911.
How does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic provide bloodwork services?
Kalon West utilizes Evexia labs, which allows for Kalon West providers to order commonly known blood/serum lab chemistries. These labs can be drawn at most LabCorp locations conveniently located around the United States.
Can I use my insurance to pay for Evexia labs ordered by Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical providers?
Short answer: NO. Long answer: Evexia (LabCorp) lab pricing is based on pre-negotiated, cash rates and will often cost less than the price of submitting the same lab panel to your insurance company. You can submit the paid-for cost of Evexia labs to your FSA/HSA.
I have existing lab work drawn by alternative medical providers elsewhere – can Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic providers utilize these labs instead to get started?
It depends. Most lab work conducted will need to have been performed within the last six months in order to make accurate diagnoses and therapeutic choices. Each lab company (ie. LabCorp vs. Quest) utilizes different reference ranges and sometimes, measures different metabolites of the same molecule (ie. progesterone). Thus, while some pre-existing lab work that clients may have on file, may be utilized – others will not. Determining which lab work qualifies, will be determined during your initial Discovery Call. You can always upload pre-existing lab work for Kalon West provider review by accessing your Kalon West patient portal here: https://kalon.md-hq.com/ and clicking “Upload Document” under the “Labs and Documents” section.
I paid for my Evexia labwork – now where do I get my labs drawn?
Your Evexia lab slips may be taken to any LabCorp Blood Draw Location found here: https://locations.labcorp.com/. A LabCorp phlebotomist will perform the blood work services after you schedule an appointment at your preferred location. Your lab work results will then transmit directly into the Kalon West Patient Portal – where both you and your Kalon West Provider will be simultaneously notified of their return.
Why does Kalon West | Hormone Therapy Medical Clinic use bloodwork for hormone testing instead of urine samples (DUTCH) and/or saliva?
Saliva and bloodwork testing can accurately assess baseline, non-medicated, hormone levels. Urine testing (DUTCH) only measures hormone metabolites. However, bloodwork based testing is the only form of hormone sampling that proves end-target organ penetration (neither saliva nor urine testing does this) and so, we rely on bloodwork alone for all hormone therapy decisions.

A Discovery Call with Kalon West is a FREE approximately 20 minute conversation between a prospective client and a Kalon West medical provider. Its purpose is to discern whether Kalon West is the right fit for you & if so, to get your journey started.

Kalon West has built partnerships with trusted pharmacists, suppliers and retailers over time. Bioidentical hormone therapy and repurposed/off-label pharmaceutical products are sourced from both local (based in Oklahoma) and national compounding pharmacies (based in the USA but shipped to Oklahoma). Each has been vetted for product quality, potency and pricing transparency. Some examples of these are: Saffa, NextGen, CareFirst, MedQuest and Physicians Preference pharmacy.

Does Kalon West have a cancellation policy?
Yes. We understand that life happens! However, we kindly request that you notify our Kalon West team 24 hours prior to your appointment of any visit change needs or cancellations. No shows will incur a $75.00 one-time fee.
